Jill flees her unhappy parents, her abusive fiance Keith and her small town life in New Smyrna, Florida, in hopes of a better life as a fashion model in South Beach. There she meets "gender illusionists" Mona and her lover Billee who operate a cabaret there. With their advice on self-confidence and modeling she makes it to the top as an international supermodel. Jill loves the glamour, stardom and money that she would never have had if she'd remained in New Smyrna. Trouble brews, though, when Keith shows up...determined to take her back "where she belongs."
